Hello, I’m Nancy Delgado, the founder of Nadel Design. As a native Spanish speaker, I’ve been dedicated to providing bilingual architectural design and permitting services in Houston since 2008. With over 17 years of experience, I specialize in helping both Spanish-speaking and English-speaking clients navigate the complexities of architectural design and permitting in Houston and surrounding areas.

Throughout my career, I’ve worked on a variety of residential and commercial projects, always ensuring that every design is functional, beautiful, and permit-ready for fast approvals. I pride myself on offering personalized service that emphasizes trust, honesty, and a true understanding of each client’s unique vision.

What drives me most is knowing that I am not just providing a service, but helping clients realize their dreams—whether it’s creating a new home, designing a commercial space, or navigating the permitting process to make their vision a reality.

Q&A with Nancy Delgado, Founder of Nadel Design


At Nadel Design, we believe in building more than just structures—we build relationships. I’m excited to share a little bit more about myself, my journey in architecture, and what drives my passion for design. Here are a few questions I often get asked:

1. What inspired you to become an architect?
From a young age, I’ve always loved solving problems and working with my hands. Architecture gave me the perfect blend of creativity and practicality. I realized that through design, I could create spaces that impacted people's lives in meaningful ways. It’s what drew me to this field, and it’s still what motivates me every day.

2. What’s your approach to working with clients on their design ideas?
I always start by listening. Every client has a vision, and my job is to bring that vision to life. Whether it’s a residential home or a commercial space, I focus on understanding the client’s needs, lifestyle, and preferences. My goal is to create a design that feels both functional and personal.

3. What do you enjoy most about working in Houston?
Houston is a vibrant, diverse city, and I love how architecture here reflects that. From the modern commercial developments to the unique residential homes, there’s so much variety and character. I enjoy the challenge of working in such a dynamic environment, and I’m proud to be part of Houston’s architectural landscape.

4. What’s something most people don’t know about you?
Most people don’t know that I’m a huge fan of cooking. When I’m not designing, you’ll probably find me in the kitchen experimenting with new recipes. I find it’s a great way to relax and be creative in a completely different way.

5. What do you enjoy doing outside of work? Any hobbies or passions?
Aside from cooking, I’m an avid traveler. I love exploring new places and experiencing different cultures. Traveling often gives me fresh perspectives on design, and I’ve been lucky to see some incredible architecture in my travels.

8. What is your favorite meal?
I’m definitely a fan of Mexican cuisine, especially mole. The layers of flavors are just incredible. I also have a soft spot for tamales—there’s nothing like a homemade batch shared with family.
